With a Multi choice question, the respondent can select any number of answers from the answer list. This could for example be the types of products he/she has tested or heard about. The answer list can be of any size.
The question details page includes a number of fields and options. All the properties available for this question type are described in the Question Properties documentation (go to Accessing Question Properties for more information).

You can convert a Multi question to a Single, Ranking, Open Text List or Numeric List if you need to; to do so right-click on the item in the Survey pane and select Convert to. The various properties and settings available for this question are listed in the Properties page (go to Accessing Question Properties for more information).
