The Dynamic Open Text question is a standard Open Text question with additional "encouragement" functionality. You can add prompts and comments to the open text question that will hopefully elicit more detail in the responses. You can add a "progress bar" to the response field that fills with color and encouragement as the respondent types text into the field, and prompts for additional detail can be displayed if specified keywords are used by the respondent. For example, if the question asks the respondent their opinion of the service they received in your store and the respondent uses the word "staff", "agent" or "salesperson" in their reply, then you could add a prompt asking for the name of the member of staff.

Custom settings - allow you to for example display a progress bar and set its dimensions and colors, show a character count, and specify key words that will display your prompt texts if the respondent includes them.

Note that with multilingual surveys the encouragement text and keyword translations must be added for each language. Different languages can have different keywords.
